Facebook: Why should I?

At any given moment on your Facebook news feed, you’ll find a gigantic assortment of voices. Ads, friends, and businesses are all vying for your valuable eyeballs while you scroll at the bus stop or between bites of your sandwich. This makes the social media giant a difficult one to navigate, particularly for the 30 million small businesses who are on Facebook. The cons seem to outweigh the pros if you’re looking into posting regularly on Facebook. You have to take time to create something that users may or may not even see. Do likes matter? What about shares? With all the effort that goes into something memorable, some businesses feel that the effort could be better spent doing something else to grow their customer base.

Despite all those negative thoughts you may have about managing Facebook and social media channels for your personal brand or business, we have three very, very good reasons why you should log on.

1. Having a Facebook page shows the world that your business is active– and thriving. The social media giant is so big that your page– and those on other social networks– are likely to come up on the first page of Google without even trying. Why not populate an easy revenue avenue?

3. Build your reputation. Facebook makes it easy for your clients, friends, and supporters to leave you favorable feedback. Anyone with a Facebook account can write a review in just a few seconds and post it in a place where many potential customers will read it. Encourage customers to leave five star-ratings– and feedback.
